The reissuance of this well-known text-reference is a welcome and noteworthy event for neurologists, neuroanatomists, and students of medicine.

The new edition is well suited to fulfill its purpose as both a textbook for the uninitiated student and a reference book for the practicing physician. Throughout, the book is organized to deal with the subject material at hand in terms of both the anatomy and its functional significance. The excellence with which function is consistently dealt with both in the text and in the illustrations makes this book especially useful to the beginning student.
