This book is an English translation of the author's earlier work on the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system. In translating this work from the German, he has taken the opportunity to add a number of more recent references to the text. The book contains in essence a survey of the experimental evidence relating to structure and function of the nervous system, and as such it represents a valuable compendium and reference source for the more important developments in anatomical, physiologic, and chemical aspects of the nervous system over the past 30 years.
