James G. McLeod is the guest editor for this issue of Baillière's Clinical Neurology. Similar to other issues in this series, the subject matter is highly focused. This issue consists of 10 chapters, written by distinguished and geographically distributed authors, which appear to thoroughly cover the inflammatory neuropathies. The chapters are uniformly well written and easy to read. The presentations are balanced with respect to the opinions expressed. The up-to-date references also include the classic articles. The use of figures and tables facilitates understanding the text. The pathology illustrations, which are in black and white, are sharp and clear. The use of headings and subheadings contributes to the ease of reading and comprehension.
In short, clinical neurologists and neurology residents who want to quickly increase their understanding of the inflammatory neuropathies would find this book quite useful. Depending on exchange rates and considering the price of medical texts in general,
