In almost no discipline is the need for a multidisciplinary team approach more important than in the development and application of medical imaging devices and image-processing techniques. The application of neuroimaging to the discovery of anatomic/functional correlates in the brain is no exception, typically requiring input from a group of widely diverse specialists such as psychologists, neuroanatomists, mathematicians, radiologists, and engineers. In Functional Neuroimaging: Technical Foundations, the editors have attempted to draw together the state of the art from these fields within one cover. They have successfully called on most groups laboring in the field of neuroimaging analysis to detail their work. This accomplishment alone makes this text valuable.
