Intracerebral Hemorrhage provides one of the most complete reviews of the subject. This book, as stated in the preface, is intended as a practical aid for neurologists and neurology residents and may also be of value to general internists and neurosurgeons, who would all be involved with the care of patients who have intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). The purpose, as stated, is to provide a balanced and comprehensive view of the causes and potential treatments of this condition. The book is divided into five major sections: epidemiology, etiology, diagnosis, management, and prognosis. The section on epidemiology is an excellent review of the incidence and a discussion of the risk factors related to the development of ICH. It also puts into perspective the very important and emerging role of computed tomography in regard to the changing epidemiology of ICH.
