This is a compendium of selected brief summaries of articles pertaining to child neurology, published from January 1991 through December 1993. Each summary, accompanied by an editorial commentary, has been previously published in Pediatric Neurology Briefs. There are 13 chapters, rather comprehensively encompassing the discipline of child neurology and ranging from broad topics (eg, epilepsy and related disorders and metabolic diseases) to more specific ones (eg, Rett syndrome). Most chapters bear a twoto three-page general introduction written by a recognized subspecialist in the field. The typical summary of a published, full-length article is approximately a half page long. This summary is immediately followed by a "comment" of similar or shorter length. An author index and an admittedly comprehensive subject index are included at the end of the volume.
