We thank Hodge for his comment and the opportunity it provides for clarification. As he points out, the anterior neocortical tip of the temporal lobe is usually irrigated by the anterior temporal artery, originating from the middle cerebral artery. However, the anterior portion of the medial temporal lobe is supplied through the anterior choroidal artery.¹ It was the medial temporal lobe structures involved in memory that were the focus of our article² and the topic of the paragraph where the vascular supply was discussed. . . .
