This small book contains chapters on prophylactic and abortive treatment of migraine attacks and also on treatment of tension-type, cluster, and "mixed" headache. Also included are chapters on use of analgesics, on headache classification and pathophysiology, and on other syndromes of head pain. The brevity of the book demands comparatively brief coverage of most of these subjects, particularly those not dealing with medication, but the statements in general are up-to-date and accurate. The provision of details of medication dosage and side effects, much of it given in table form, will be of use to the busy clinician. The chapters on migraine treatment and on drug interactions are particularly detailed and helpful.
