This book is a collection of 15 papers presented in 1987. Contributors include the editor, Dr Arthur Hudson, who is the founder of the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Society of Canada, and Drs Antel, Calne, Dalakas, Eisen, Gajdusek, Hirano, Kurland, and others who have been important, long-time students of ALS and other neurodegenerative disorders. The interest of the presentations ranges broadly.
