To the Editor.

—In our letter entitled "Guillain-Barré Syndrome Following Campylobacter jejuni Enteritis,"¹ Peter C. Kohler and I stated that "no such cases... have previously been described from countries other than England." Dr Allan H. Ropper had made us aware that that was a misstatement: we neglected to cite his report concerning six patients with Guillain-Barré syndrome who had acute, severe, and prolonged initial illness²; one of them had preceding Campylobacter enteritis. In addition to this (United States) case, we slighted cases reported from Finland and Australia, even though they are described in references that we gave with our letter.
