To the Editor.

—We agree with Schmidt et al¹ that clobazam therapy can have a dramatic effect on seizure control in some patients with chronic drug-resistant complex partial seizures, but that unfortunately tolerance develops in over 50% of such responders. We have recently attempted to answer the question posed by Schmidt et al¹ as a result of their study, ie, the need to identify and select those patients who are likely to obtain sustained dramatic benefit from clobazam therapy.
