University of California-San Francisco (UCSF) Neurosurgeon Appointed to New Chair.

—Charles B. Wilson, MD, the internationally renowned UCSF neurosurgeon, has been appointed to the recently established Tong-Po Kan Chair in Neurological Surgery at UCSF. The Tong-Po Kan Chair was endowed in memory of his father by Yuet Wai Kan, MD, UCSF professor of medicine and biochemistry/biophysics, to support teaching and research. The Chair will fund UCSF Department of Neurological Surgery research on intracranial tumors.

Michael E. Phelps and Marcus E. Raichle Receive the Sarah L. Poiley Memorial Award.

—Dr Michael E. Phelps, Jennifer Jones Simon Professor of Biophysics at UCLA School of Medicine, and Dr Marcus E. Raichle, Professor of Neurology and Radiology at the Washington University Medical Center, were the recipients of the Sarah L. Poiley Memorial Award.
