For the neuropathologist and for the clinician or scientist with an interest in neuropathology, the Archives of the International Congresses and Society of Neuropathology, 1952-1977, presents a fascinating account of the development of these organizations through written records and photographs. A documentary tracing, from the inception of the First International Congress of Neuropathology in Rome in 1952, provides not only a look at the formal proceedings of each meeting, but also a look behind the scenes at the series of correspondence that initiated the organizational meeting and assured seven consecutive International Congresses and the formation of the International Society of Neuropathology.
