This is the second edition of the English translation of Escourolle and Poirier's manual of neuropathology. The quality of text and illustrations, the clarity of organization, and the fluent translation have made this manual a great success. We predict the new edition will meet with an even more favorable reception. The text has been extensively revised, particularly in the chapters dealing with neuromuscular disorders, infectious diseases, and genetic and metabolic disorders. The former chapter on neuropathologic techniques is now a useful appendix placed at the end of the volume. This manual is highly recommended for residents in neurology and neurosurgery. . . .
