To the Editor.—

I read with great interest the article entitled "Moya-Moya Disease in Black Adults" published in the February issue of the ARCHIVES (34:130, 1977). In this article the authors state they have been unable to find any previously reported cases of Moya-Moya disease in black adults.

Drs Meriwether, Echols, and I reported such a case in a black man in the May 1976 Journal of Neurosurgery (44:620, 1976). Our angiographically proved case had subarachnoid hemorrhage as the presenting symptom, which appears to be the pattern in most instances of this disease in adults. . . .
