This instructive little volume covers the problem of Parkinsonism very well. It answers all the problems which patients at some time or another invariably ask, and it does so in clear and understandable language. The opinions which are expressed regarding all aspects of the disease offer no room for differences and agree with the experiences of others who contend with the disease. From these standpoints the volume can be recommended for lay consumption.

What criticisms may be directed toward the volume has to do with the purpose which it is presumed to fulfill. Insofar as it provides answers to problems which patients raise, it is useful and helpful, though it may be said parenthetically that the answers are available to any patient with Parkinsonism from any qualified specialist. The question may properly be raised concerning the value of volumes for the nonmedical public. It certainly can serve little useful purpose . . . [Full Text PDF of this Article]
