These two volumes represent a comprehensive and generally extremely well done summary of what is known about the normal and abnormal anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the cerebral circulation. In addition, the volumes thoroughly consider the radiological anatomy and topography of the vessels both in separate sections and together with the various chapters dealing with cerebrovascular diseases. The result is two volumes that omit practically nothing one needs to know from the clinical standpoint in this important field. They will stand as a source of reference for a considerable period into the future.
