This book is the third and final volume of Prof Olof Larsell's scholarly treatise on the comparative anatomy, development, and morphology of the cerebellum. Like the previous volumes in this series, it has been brought to completion by Prof Jan Jansen, since the death of Professor Larsell occurred when his manuscrpts were in a preliminary form. However, the present volume departs significantly from the other two; although it retains the personal style of the first author in the early sections, it includes considerable new material written by two additional authors, including an account of the histogenesis and ultrastructure of the cerebellum with a large section containing electron micrographs.
