The authors provide in this small book "a brief concise review of Neuroradiology" in which "because of the necessity for brevity areas of controversy have been presented from the viewpoint of authors."
The book in fact represents the chapter on neuroradiology from Baker's Clinical Neurology with the addition of a brief appendix, "Special Procedures: Selection of the Procedure of Choice."
In addition to discussion of the roentgenography of the skull, cerebral angiography, pneumoencephalography, the plain spine, and myelography, there is brief consideration of ultrasound, radioactive isotope techniques and thermography.
Illustrations are profuse and of high quality, although in several areas they are separated by several pages from the relevant text. A comprehensive bibliography cites over 500 references most of which are from the past five years. This should be a useful book for those preparing for boards in neurology, neurosurgery, and radiology as well as for students and interns
