I AM PLEASED to announce the appointment by the Board of Trustees of the American Medical Association of Fred Plum, MD, to the post of Chief Editor of the Archives of Neurology, effective Jan 1, 1972.

The Archives of Neurology was established by the Board of Trustees of the AMA in July 1959 when it was decided to discontinue the Archives of Neurology and Psychiatry and to publish a journal devoted to the field of general psychiatry. At the urging of Dr. Paul Bucy, the late Dr. Roland McKay, and the American Neurological Association, the trustees were persuaded to also publish an Archives of Neurology which was to be the official journal of the American Neurological Association. Dr. Harold Wolff, who was at that time co-editor with Dr. Roy Grinker of the Archives of Neurology and Psychiatry, was made the Chief Editor of the new Archives of Neurology. The decision . . .
