The reasonably priced second edition of this excellent photographic atlas has been revised by the addition of a 53-page account of the anatomy of the brain and spinal cord and six photographs of the in situ spinal cord, and by the replacement by new figures of ten gross coronal sections through the brain. The 145 figures are presented in five sections. These comprise the gross anatomy of the brain and spinal cord (38 figures), the vascular supply (13 figures), the gross dissection of the brain (11 figures), sectional anatomy in the coronal, horizontal, and sagittal planes (26 figures) and a Pal-Weigert atlas of sections in sagittal and coronal planes (57 figures). The nomenclature used is based on the new editions of the Nomina Anatomica.
