With the strong current of interest in spinal angiology, it is curious that spinal venography has found no greater general neurological interest or application on our continent. Certainly, the vast venous pool of the vertebral venous circulation has great physiological and clinical significance. The value of Vogelsang's monograph lies in its reemphasis of interosseous and catheterization venography as a practical diagnostic test. His brief historical survev and clear description of techniques should be useful to anyone interested in methods of definition of spinal disorders and of the vertebral circulation. The careful attribution of prior achievements is useful and a model of appropriate credit.
