Childhood: Measurement by Electroimmunodiffusion," which appeared in the May 1971 issue of the Archives (24:441-448), the second sentence of the second paragraph under "Comment" should read as follows: "Utilizing EID, Hartley et al4 found, as mentioned, a mean IgG quotient in normal adults of 7.14% with a standard deviation of 3.40%, on the basis of which Schneck and Claman3 considered 14% (mean + 2 SD = 13.94%) to be top normal, a value slightly higher than the 13% given by Kabat and co-workers7 based on a mean IgG of 9.3% with a standard deviation of 1.8% in normal or presumed normal adults." (The error was in the printing of 31.94% instead of the correct 13.94%.)
