Fourth International Congress of Electromyography.—

The Fourth International Congress of Electromyography, sponsored by the International Federation of Societies for Electroencephalogram and Clinical Neurophysiology will be held in Brussels, on Sept 12 to 15, 1971. Professor John E. Desmedt-will be the president of the congress.

Five symposia will be held: (1) new concepts of the motor unit (chairmen: E. H. Lambert, Rochester, Minn, and T. Tokizane, Tokyo); (2) intracellular electromyography (chairman, A. F. Huxley, London); (3) pathological conduction in nerve fibers (chairman, R. W. Gilliatt, London); (4) electromyography in biochemical studies (chairmen, S. Bouisset, Lille, France, and B. Jonsson, Göteborg, Sweden); (5) human reflexes and motor mechanisms (I and II) (chairmen, J. C. Eccles, Buffalo, and K. E. Hagbarth, Uppsala, Sweden).

Voluntary communication will also be programmed and a practical electromyogram course will be organized on Sept 16.
