This book contains the papers presented at the Cerebral Blood Flow Symposium held in Mainz, Germany, in April 1969. The rapid publication makes it highly useful as a resource to scientists actively engaged in cerebral blood flow research and of interest to clinicians concerned with this aspect of the physiology of the central nervous system. The editors have divided the papers into various sections, which makes the pursuit of an individual interest easier for the reader. Practically all of the papers deal with regional cerebral blood flow as measured by isotope clearance techniques, methods which may become increasingly difficult to utilize in human subjects in the United States because of "informed consent" regulations.
