A remarkable collection of photographs accumulated by the author as a teaching aid over a period of 20 years, depicting a broad range of neurological diseases, has been assembled with a supporting text in an attractive volume. The photographs are generally excellent, all in black and white, and have been well reproduced. The range of material presented is quite broad, indeed it is broader than that covered by most textbooks of neurology and several entities shown here will probably not be found in them.
The quality and effectiveness of the photography will remind many American neurologists of the artistic clinical photographs of Professor Ornsteen of Philadelphia and of the now out of print and unavailable volume of Hertz and Putnam on disorders of movement. One is also reminded of the now defunct and long forgotten turn of the century journals "Neurographs" and the "Nouvelle iconographie de la Salpetriere" which featured
