This a well written and a well illustrated monograph on the angiography of the spinal cord. The authors treated the subject in an organized and systematic approach. The historical background and the most recent information on the anatomy of the spinal cord vessels are treated in the first two chapters. The various techniques of spinal cord angiography and their relative advantages and limitations are described in the third and fourth chapters. The fifth chapter covers the arteriovenous malformations and constitutes about one third of the monograph. In this section, the authors present their personal experience with 18 cases, and they discuss the pooled clinical information from the world literature, accumulating a total of 159 cases. Both the diagnosis and the treatment are discussed. The remainder of the book covers cord tumors, collateral flow through spinal cord vessels, and the arteriographic identification of thoracolumbar spinal cord blood supply prior to aortic . . .
