National Index on Deafness, Speech and Hearing.

—Gallaudet College and the American Speech and Hearing Association have established a National Index on Deafness, Speech and Hearing. This Index will combine the present indexing and abstracting functions of the Central Index of Research on the Deaf at Gallaudet College and the projected indexing and abstracting functions of the American Speech and Hearing Association.

The purpose of the National Index is to index and abstract all professional literature pertaining to deafness, speech, and hearing and to make this material readily available to all interested persons. Not only will present and future literature be included but also all of the relevant past literature. The National Index will make the collected material available through a regular, professional publication.
