This short book is intended to familiarize practitioners, other than neurologists and neurosurgeons, with the potentials of cerebral angiography as a diagnostic tool. It contains excellent chapters on modern photographic and electronic techniques which enhance visualization of the arterial and venous system and superb reproductions of the relatively new color television subtraction technique introduced by Oosterkamp in 1966. A most interesting series of angiograms illustrates the danger of this diagnostic method. Several postmortem fetal angiograms and perinatal studies are also illustrated and some are accompanied by pictures of the postmortem specimens. An adequate bibliography and index is included.

While the reproductions are of such extraordinary quality that they are in themselves worth having, there is no new information in this book that is not already available in the more comprehensive Clinical Neuroradiology edited by the same author and it is difficult to see how such a specialized volume could find . . .
