To the Editor.—

Although somewhat belated, by now, I still would like to bring to your attention an error which occurred among the references in the paper entitled "Inclusion Body of Acute Inclusion Encephalitis" by Hideo H. Itabashi et al published in the ARCHIVES (14:493-505 [May] 1966).

The date of the meeting mentioned in reference 38 was May 14 and 15, 1965, and not 1964. This fact can be checked in Journal of Ultrastructure Research (13:560, 1965). The abstract itself appears on page 567 of the same issue.

In this case of first discovery of Papovalike virions in progressive multifocal leu koencephalopathy, this seems to be of some importance. As evident from details given in the paper quoted as reference 39 by Dr. Itabashi and associates, the presence of such virions was first reported during the 44th annual meeting of the Association for Research in Nervous and Mental Diseases, held . . .
