This is the tenth volume in a series of contributions to neurosurgery edited by Prof Dr W. Tonnis. About half the book is a review of the anatomy of the posterior fossa, and the rest is devoted to an analysis of 435 posterior fossa tumors which were encountered between 1953 and 1963 at the Neurosurgical Clinic of the University of Leipzig. There are ten pages of references, and an index is also provided. The claim is made that this retrospective review is intended to analyze the clinical features of posterior fossa tumors. Most of the anatomical diagrams are from other sources: A few original drawings show the brain stem nuclear masses in stereoscopic views.
