This monograph written in German is a comprehensive review of the clinical aspects of headache. Headaches are divided on a so-called etiologic bases depending on their relationship to disease processes both in and out of the nervous system. As would be expected there is an extensive chapter on migraine which is particularly well done. This chapter includes a historical review, which in and of itself proves to be extremely interesting reading. The relationship of migraine to epilepsy and other disorders including those of the vasomotor system are included. A fairly extensive section on treatment, which is particularly worthwhile, includes a list of medications with their proprietary names as used in various countries of the world. Those individuals dealing with refractory and stubborn cases of migraine will find much enlightening information in this book.
