In the author's words this book "is to reveal the essential data of the examination of the nervous system, and at the same time the principles of physiopathology, illuminating through the latter the importance of the former." The book is divided into two parts. The first is concerned with neurophysiology and physiopathology and its relationship to the functioning and diseases of the nervous system. The second part of the book deals with the examination of the nervous system. The last six chapters were written by other authors, and the subjects of these are electrodiagnosis, electroencephalography, x-ray of the skull, lumbar and suboccipital puncture, myelography, spinal fluid, cerebral angiography, ventriculography, pneumoencephalography, and ventriculography with contrast material.
