Error in Text

Arch Neurol. 2001;58:135.

In the Letters to the Editor by Siegel and Metman titled "In Reply" published in the August issue of ARCHIVES (2000;57:1231-1232), an error occurred in the text on page 1231. The word "from" should have been replaced by "by" and "increase" added after "0.35 m/s" in the following sentence: "In contrast, of the 7 subjects who improved after surgery, subject 11 was the fastest walker preoperatively (0.76 m/s) and showed the smallest absolute increase in walking speed postoperatively (from 0.35 m/s to 1.11 m/s, represented by the open square symbols in Figure 1)." The sentence as corrected reads: "In contrast, of the 7 subjects who improved after surgery, subject 11 was the fastest walker preoperatively (0.76 m/s) and showed the smallest absolute increase in walking speed postoperatively (by 0.35 m/s increase to 1.11 m/s, represented by the open square symbols in Figure 1)."
