In the Archives of Neurology article "A Neuropsychological Test Battery for Use in Alzheimer Disease Clinical Trials" (2007;64[9]:1323-1329), John Harrison, CPsychol, PhD, did not fully disclose his financial conflict of interest with Elan Pharmaceuticals and Wyeth Research. When questioned, Harrison initially claimed he made a full disclosure to the Archives that he was a paid consultant to both companies and did not know why his consulting status was not mentioned in the journal. He now recants that claim and accepts responsibility in his accompanying letter and apology, saying the failure to disclose his relationship with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Elan Research "was not the fault of the Archives or any of its staff."
