This textbook of clinical neurology edited by Dr Jones is a multiauthor effort supported by many of his colleagues at the Lahey Clinic, who have contributed one or more of the total 108 chapters. Netter's Neurology is, of course, not just another addition to the long list of textbooks of clinical neurology but an admirable effort to uphold the classic illustration-based teaching of clinical medicine that Frank H. Netter, MD, developed to previously unknown heights in the last century. As stated in the preface "the 13-book Netter collection of medical illustrations . . . became and remains one of the most famous medical works ever published. . . . " Dr Jones himself had become a close associate of Dr Netter by the 1980s, working together on the 2-volume Netter Nervous System first published in 1986.
