The aim of this book is to make the treatment of psychiatric manifestations of neurologic diseases easier by helping readers to recognize psychiatric symptoms and by discussing psychiatric treatments. The book was edited and written by 17 staff members and, as chapter coauthors, 2 medical students of the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. It is divided into 3 parts dealing with psychiatric assessments and syndromes; psychiatric aspects of 14 neurologic diseases or groups of diseases like multiple sclerosis, stroke, and traumatic brain injury; and finally psychiatric treatments. Most of the 39 chapters of the book are short (between 6 and 38 pages) and can be read within 10 to 20 minutes. The style is clear and the texts are very concise.
