Diabetic neuropathy is the most common cause of neuropathy in the developed world. It affects 30% to 50% of diabetic patients and it is a considerable source of morbidity and mortality. The new edition of this book is a comprehensive update and addresses the scientific basis of diabetic neuropathy, diabetic trials, and, importantly, the clinical management of the complications of diabetic neuropathy, including those due to pain, joint deformity, infection, and dysautonomia.
