This book, with chapters composed by an international group of scientists-clinicians from a variety of disciplines, is essential reading both for groups developing a memory or dementia clinic and for team members of established clinics. This is a very practically oriented book written specifically for clinicians, but well grounded in science. It does not provide an extensive state-of-the-art review of the current knowledge, science, and theories regarding dementia. However, the how-to approach of starting and running a memory disorders clinic for patients and families with dementia is based upon the current knowledge and science of dementia. This book contains a depth of practical recommendations and suggestions rarely seen, and it lives up to the title of a "manual."
