This book is the second edition of a compendium of more than 100 neuropsychological tests selected by the authors because they are the most commonly used procedures in their laboratory at the University of Victoria, British Columbia. Extensive information is provided on the published and, in many cases, the unpublished data on each neuropsychological test. In fact, the authors indicate that one of their goals was to accumulate and systematize the underground literature on neuropsychological tests that has been passed among clinicians. The book is organized by function (eg, "Memory" and "Motor"), and within each chapter, the individual tests are discussed separately.

For each neuropsychological test, information is given on its purpose, source and cost, the administration and scoring procedures, the materials involved (and, in some cases, the exact items), the published reliability and validity information, the normative samples (and, in some cases, the norm values themselves), and a discussion . . .
