At a time when several excellent new books, or new editions of well-known books, on clinical electromyography have been published recently, it is reasonable to ask whether another book on electromyography is truly needed. The reality is that it is still difficult to find a book written for the beginning student that is not too simplistic and that is still affordable. In Principles of Clinical Electromyography: Case Studies, Shin J. Oh, a well-known and highly experienced electrodiagnostician and neuromuscular specialist, has put together such a rarity, offering a wealth of information in a concise format, and for a very reasonable price. In my opinion it is a welcome addition to the electrodiagnostic medicine library.
