INTRODUCTION

In 1960, the general presidential election introduced television as a critical factor in the election process as a series of 4 television debates between John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon was scheduled. Kennedy won the November election, embarking on a new age of emphasis on technological advancement for the United States.
