This atlas provides a pictorial guide to the interpretation of electroencephalograms (EEGs) in clinical practice. It contains illustrations of analog and digital EEGs reproduced in a size and format similar to that encountered in many clinical neurophysiology laboratories. The illustrations are generally clear, well labeled, and of good quality. Each is accompanied by a brief descriptive caption, and one or a few references are provided for the pertinent literature on individual topics. It is disappointing that some of the early references, which are between 25 and 50 years old, were not replaced by newer sources. Nevertheless, the present volume will be of considerable interest to electroencephalographers and of great educational value to trainees in clinical neurophysiology as a practical aid to the correct interpretation of EEGs.
