Aberrant Regeneration of the Inferior Division of the Oculomotor Nerve

Robert H. Spector, MD; Miguel A. Faria, MD

Arch Neurol. 1981;38(7):460-461.

Abstract

• Aberrant regeneration of the oculomotor nerve most frequently results from an intracranial lesion proximal to the bifurcation of the nerve. We describe a patient in whom abnormal synkinetic movements indicate aberrant regeneration within the inferior division only.
