Abstract
The clinical and histopathological features of a case of polymyositis were studied. The biopsy specimen displayed muscular infiltration, with clear germinalcenter lymphoid follicles. Gastric cancer was discovered 18 months after the appearance of myopathic signs. Therapy with corticosteroids, other immunosuppressive drugs, and then the ablation of the gastric tumor did not stop the progression of the myopathy.
