Transient Eyelid Opening Associated With Postanoxic EEG Suppression-Burst Pattern

Abstract
Rapid eyelid opening followed by slow eyelid closure corresponding to the onset and termination of EEG suppression bursts is reported in four patients with severe anoxic encephalopathy. This phenomenon, associated with no major body movements, is predictive of early death.
