Pentazocine-Induced Myopathy

Abstract

A patient developed progressive and symmetrical muscular tightness in association with frequent intramuscular injections of pentazocine (Talwin). Deltoid contractures in abduction were most prominent, but the myopathic process was wide-spread, though worse in the muscles most frequently injected.
