Abstract
A 13-year-old boy with a three-month history of back pain had wasting of the left peroneus longus and extensor digitorum brevis muscle, limitation of straight-leg raising, and an absent left knee jerk. Roentgenography showed minimal reduction of the height of the L-4 vertebral body with demineralization, and myelography demonstrated an incomplete block due to an extradural circumferential compression at the same level. Surgery revealed an eosinophilic granuloma. These are unusual manifestations of eosinophilic granuloma.
