Abstract
Experimental allergic encephalomyelitis in guinea pigs was partially suppressed with the administration of heparin sodium. Anticoagulating doses of heparin were required. Best results were obtained if heparin was given continually from time of immunization to the termination of the experiment. Some protection was also observed if heparin was given during either the first or the second week after immunization.
