Infantile Spasms and Hypopigmented MaculesEarly Manifestations of Tuberous Sclerosis

Abstract
Tuberous sclerosis may present in the newborn period as a seizure disorder characterized as infantile spasms. An important diagnostic sign is the presence of multiple hypopigmented macules which may precede, by several years, the development of other manifestations of the disease.
